Centrifuge, Floor Model, Refrigerated, High Speed (Supraspeed), Sorvall (Dupont), Model RC 28S

The RC-28S SUPRA speed Floor Model Refrigerated Centrifuge offers top performance for a wide range of protocols, economy in use, safety, and convenience.
Microcomputer-Controlled, the RC-28S offers speeds to 28,000 rpm and RCF to 100,500 x g. This extra performance capability enables you to perform all superspeed protocols as well as many low-end ultraspeed protocols a cost-effective alternative to operating two centrifuges.
Featuring
• Versatility:
- Achieves nearly twice the g-force of conventional superspeeds
- Can be used with most SORVALL superspeed rotors
- Full range of fixed angle and swinging bucket SUPRA speed rotors available
• Space-savings:
- Requires less floor space than conventional superspeed and ultraspeed centrifuges
- Retractable chamber door eliminates clearance problem
• Reliability:
- Unique SPIN-RIGHT rotor management system ensures safe operation and optimal control of conditions
- w 2 dt for run-to-run reproducibility
- Rotors specifically designed and independently tested for biocontainment

This model is equipped with a powerful motor, which can create forces of 49,300xg
when equipped with 05-110-07 rotor. It accommodates loads up to 3L (6 x 500ml). Two
acceleration and five deceleration rates are available to ensure gentle rotor movement and to protect your sensitive samples. And to repeat a cycle using the same parameters, simply press the Start Key. The built-in Refrigeration system maintains temperatures between –9 ° to +39 ° C within + 1 ° C. This model features automatic temperature compensation. An easy-to-read digital display helps you monitor operating conditions. Also it features cover interlock, rotor shaft protection and warning indicators for safety-hazards such as refrigeration failure, rotor imbalance, and brush wear.
